How we compare options

Our structured option comparison method for major personal decisions—criteria grids, assumption tests, and traceable records from Chiang Mai.

We treat personal planning as decision engineering: every major choice is broken into testable criteria rather than slogans.

A

Criteria charter

Before scores appear, you and the facilitator agree on what “better” means—cash runway months, commute pain, visa complexity, or elder-care proximity. Each criterion gets a plain-language definition.

B

Evidence lanes

Options are not debated in the abstract. You gather facts per lane—quotes, school tours, employer letters—and we mark gaps in red until they are filled or explicitly accepted as unknowns.

Unknowns stay visible so optimism bias cannot hide inside a pretty slide deck.

C

Comparison record

The deliverable is a living document: option columns, criterion rows, weights you chose, and a narrative of trade-offs. It is yours to share with partners, lawyers, or accountants as you see fit.
